A year of Julia Donaldson

This year I am planning to use the books of Julia Donaldson to their full advantage. Julia Donaldson’s best known book is the Gruffalo, but she has a wonderful array of titles that our children will love.  We will be reading the stories, delving into their related playful activities, and  coupling them with grammar exercises (depending on each child’s age).

Here is a list of the main titles which we will be using:

The Gruffalo.

The Gruffalo’s child.

The snail and the whale.

The smartest giant in town.

Room on the broom.

And excerpts from Tales from Acorn Wood.

I  have also adopted a new conversation encouraging programme based on the book 50 English Phrases.

🙂 It looks as if it will be a great year. 🙂
