We started 2009 with the story ‘The Gingerbread man’. Most of the children seemed to enjoy it, there were many words that they didn’t fully understand, but before the story began I introduced the names of the characters, the animals, the locations, and a number of the action verbs. This introduction was more in-depth for the 4th and 5th classes.
After listening to to the story we did some Gingerman based exercises, especially in the 1st and 2nd classes.
And then we began the next unit which concentrates on clothing. 🙂
